What is Synonym?

A synonym is a word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or a phrase.
पर्यायवाची या समानार्थी शब्द वह है जिसका अर्थ एक ही शब्द या वाक्यांश के समान या लगभग समान है।
Words that are synonyms are referred to as being synonymous, and the state of being a synonym is called synonymy.
जो शब्द पर्यायवाची हैं उन्हें Synonymous कहा जाता है, और पर्यायवाची होने की अवस्था को Synonymy कहा जाता है।
